The collaboration aims to deliver the most remarkable services, promptly ensuring clients receive accurate results.

This partnership is expected to significantly boost healthcare quality for Sun Life of Canada Insurance applicants. HealthFirst Clinic’s commitment to accuracy will enable better diagnostic outcomes, giving applicants a precise assessment of their current health status—an essential step in determining appropriate insurance coverage. With HealthFirst’s established reputation for quality service, this collaboration will allow for a smoother, more reliable process for both applicants and insurers.

Future Initiatives and Expansion Plans


Looking ahead, the partnership will initially provide full medical exams for all Sun Life of Canada Life Insurance applicants across HealthFirst’s four clinics. Over time, the partnership is expected to deepen further, with HealthFirst becoming one of their providers of executive check-ups for Sun Life of Canada executives and potentially joining Sun Life’s accredited clinic network in Cebu. Additionally, HealthFirst is set to become Sun Life's preferred outpatient clinic.


The contract signing ceremony saw the presence of several key stakeholders who underscored the importance of this partnership. Among those present were HealthFirst’s Mr. Martin G. Mills, President of RelianceUnited; Mr. Karl Aaron G. Dimaano, President of HDSI; Ms. Anna C. Fulgencio, Head of Operations for Flexicare; Mr. Robert Ian Basañes, Sales Head for HDSI; Manuel Jay P. Ebuenga, Clinic Operations Head; and Dawn Basibas, Executive Medical Center Team Lead. Representing Sun Life of Canada were Dr. Raymund Paul C. Baello, Sun Life Medical Director, and Ms. Maria Imelda Mercado, Sun Life Medical Manager.
